It’s not every night that you see a car sitting upside down in the middle of an intersection surrounded by police and fire vehicles right out your living room window.\u00c2\u00a0 But I did last week.\u00c2\u00a0 I was going to see Henry Rollins spoken word show but was feeling under the weather and decided not to go.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ll have to catch Henry another time.\u00c2\u00a0 Instead I stayed home, out of the wind and cold, and had\u00c2\u00a0 guests over at my apartment for a couple of hours.\u00c2\u00a0 After my guests left\u00c2\u00a0 I looked out the window and saw an armada of police and ambulances surrounding an upside down vehicle in the middle of an intersection.\u00c2\u00a0 They were trying to get a woman, apparently the driver, out of the car.\u00c2\u00a0 She had to be cut out of the car.\u00c2\u00a0 I kept looking at the car wondering how did it end up on it’s roof, what flipped it over?\u00c2\u00a0 My next door neighbor said she saw the driver turn right too fast and hit the median flipping the car over.\u00c2\u00a0 I tried to take a picture of the car surrounded by flashing lights but the picture below was the best my camera got.<\/p>\n

I know you can’t determine what you’re looking at but I love the photo it’s a wonderful abstract.\u00c2\u00a0 So that was my artistic endeavor for the day. Here is the story in the Liverpool Echo:<\/p>\n

A man and a woman are in hospital after their car flipped onto its roof on a city centre street<\/h1>\n

A MAN and a woman are in hospital after their car flipped on to its roof on a city centre street.<\/p>\n

The smash happened at around 7.15pm on the corner of Upper Parliament Street and Jamaica Street.<\/p>\n

The silver Vauxhall Corsa was being driven by a woman in her 30s. A man in his 50s was also rescued from the wreckage.<\/p>\n

Three fire crews went to the scene. They had to pull the casualties out of the car through its boot.<\/p>\n

Watch manager Adam Peers from Toxteth fire station said: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We were presented with quite a difficult situation where two members of the public were trapped in this overturned vehicle and being held in position by their seatbelts.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153The vehicle was badly damaged and they were in considerable pain.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Afterwards I watched an exciting football match, Blackburn vs Aston Villa.\u00c2\u00a0 There were goals until the very end the final score 6 -4.\u00c2\u00a0 Around the time the match ended about 22:30, the wrecker had finally come and flipped the car back over and taken it away.\u00c2\u00a0 19 more days until the Daytona 500.\u00c2\u00a0 And two of my favorite football teams will be playing in the Superbowl.\u00c2\u00a0 I like the Saints but I gotta say the Colts will win.\u00c2\u00a0 If you doubt watch and learn!\u00c2\u00a0 Cheers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
